About the study

What is the study trying to find out?
What will I be asked to do, and how long will it last?
Could I receive a placebo? How is it decided who gets what?

Risks and benefits

What are the possible risks and side effects?
What benefit, if any, could I expect?
What happens if I'm harmed while taking part?

Practical things

Will it cost me anything? Are travel or time covered?
How often do I need to visit, and can any visits happen remotely?
Who can I contact with questions, and who sees my information?
Will I learn the results when the study ends?
This is general information, not medical advice. Talk to your doctor about whether a study could be right for you, and to the study team about the details of a specific study.
