What signing up is not

Not an application
Nobody applies to a study here, and nothing is sent to a study on your behalf.
Not enrollment
Taking part in a study is always a separate decision, made with that study's own team and its own consent process.
Not medical advice
We list studies and keep your profile. Questions about your health belong with your doctor.
Not shown to others
Your profile is shown to you. No study team, company or member of our staff has a screen that lets them browse profiles.
Not paid, and not for sale
It's free to use, and we never sell your data.

What happens to your answers

Nothing leaves your device before you agree
While you build your profile, answers are kept in your browser. They're saved to your account only after you accept the Terms and Privacy Policy and open the sign-in link we email you.
Every change is kept, for you
Each time you edit a section, the earlier version is kept in your profile history, which only you can see.
Take it with you, or remove it
Download everything we hold about you from Account settings. Deleting your account starts a 30-day window, then it's gone for good.

Signing up for a child

A parent or legal guardian can keep a profile for a child, and for several children under one account. When a child turns 18, the profile can be handed over to them.
